Architecture & spatial design
Exploring space, material and place through drawing, model making and design projects.
Creative Portfolio Support
Individual portfolio guidance for students applying to architecture, art and design courses. From first experiments to a carefully considered submission, we help students develop original work and communicate their creative potential.
01 / Creative pathways
Whether a student has chosen a course or is still exploring their interests, we begin with their existing work, ambitions and application timeline.
Enquire about the pathways below. We confirm the scope of support and suitable tutor expertise for each subject during the initial consultation.
Exploring space, material and place through drawing, model making and design projects.
Developing a personal line of enquiry through observation, visual research, image making and experimentation.
Exploring how ideas are communicated through typography, image, composition and visual storytelling.
Investigating objects, materials and use through sketches, iterative development and prototypes.
Bringing together visual research, material experiments and design development in a considered portfolio.
Building a varied body of work while exploring interests across art and design before choosing a specialism.
02 / Review & direction
We review existing projects, sketchbooks and experiments alongside the student's intended courses. Together, we identify strengths, gaps and opportunities for further work.
A tailored development plan sets priorities for the tutorials and independent work between sessions.
03 / Project development
Students can develop existing school projects or begin new work shaped around their interests. Tutorials encourage research, experimentation, critical reflection and thoughtful refinement.
We help students document how ideas evolve, showing the decisions and discoveries behind the final outcomes. The work remains the student's own.
04 / Selection & presentation
We guide the selection and sequencing of work, balancing finished pieces with research, sketches and development. Support includes photographing work, editing project descriptions and refining page composition.
Each submission is considered against the chosen course's published portfolio brief, with attention to format, length and the work requested.
05 / Discussing your work
Portfolio conversations help students articulate their interests, explain creative decisions and reflect on what they have learnt. Where an interview is required, practice is shaped around the student's work and intended course.
06 / Students & schools
Support can begin with a focused portfolio review or continue through a series of individual tutorials. The scope and fees are agreed after an initial discussion of the subject, existing work and deadlines.
Schools can enquire on behalf of individual students or discuss support for a group applying across different creative subjects. We agree a suitable approach with the school, including how tutorials complement existing art and design teaching.
